1. How did you get started writing?
I’ve always loved reading, and it always seemed really natural to me to write my own stories as well! I started seriously working on my first novel while in graduate school for music, although I didn’t tell anyone what I was doing until I finished my degree. I wanted to make sure I could actually finish a novel before I told anyone I was trying!
2. What is your favorite thing to do outside of writing?
I love to travel and explore. My favorite thing is to go to places where I don’t speak the language, turn off my cell phone, and see if I can find my way around. I also love hiking and exploring nature.
3. What do you love most about the genre you write?
I write fairy tale retellings, and I love the sweet romances and happy endings! I also love taking familiar elements of a story and transforming them into something completely new and unexpected.
4. Tell us about your current release/or new release?
I’m working on the fourth book in my Fairy Tale Adventures series right now. It’s a retelling of Beauty and the Beast, and I’m so excited to put my spin on this story! It’s one of the most popular fairy tales, which means a lot of people have retold it, but I think I’ll still manage to bring something unexpected to my version.
5. What does your writing space look like?
I write in a castle tower in my backyard! It came with my house and pretty run down, but my dad renovated it for me to use as a writing space. Now it has hardwood floors and an antique chandelier, and I spend most of my day out there.

6. Do you find it hard to kill off your characters?
I have never killed off a character! I keep thinking I will, and I keep not doing it.
7. Where can we find you on the internet?
