1. How did you get started writing?
A deep love of reading, and also Disney movies. I’ve loved Disney movies ever since I can remember. That led into a love of reading fairytales in general, which, in turn, led to a love of reading almost anything spec fic.
2. Out of all your books, which one is your favourite and why?
Probably the first book of my new uf/pr series, Stones of Fire. I love the real world, Fort Worth setting. I love the interplay between the two main characters. And I loved incorporating creatures from folklore and mythology gathered from around the world into this book as my shapeshifters.
3. What do you love most about the genre you write?
I write across several fantasy subgenres, including portal fantasy, epic fantasy, fairytale fantasy, and urban fantasy. What I love about fantasy is being able to incorporate all of my ideas, no matter how zany or off the wall! In fantasy, you can make pretty much anything make sense.
4. Describe yourself in 3 words.
Driven, determined, busy!
5. Tell us about your current release/or new release?
Stones of Fire is an urban fantasy series with a romantic subplot. It’s the story of a young nursing student, Ellie St. James, who gets drawn into a hidden world of mafia, magic, monsters, and mythology. She wants out, but first she’ll have to survive the creatures coming to kill her. To do that, she’ll need the help of Carter Ballis, head of security for a local mob boss and a lethal shapeshifter.
6. Do you find it hard to kill off your characters?
Sometimes, but I think it’s unrealistic to expect ALL of your characters will survive warfare, battles, magic, and mayhem. Somebody is going to have to take one for the team for realism’s sake.
7. What are you working on now? Can you share a teaser of it with our readers?
I’m in the middle of rapid releasing my Stones of Fire series! Books 1 and 2 are currently available. Book 3 releases January 2021, and Book 4 shortly thereafter.
8. What’s next for you?
After Stones of Fire is complete, I plan to return to my portal/epic series, Beyond the Sunset Lands, and finish it up.
9. Where can we find you on the internet?
